Following in Kate’s footsteps, one gesture from Meghan Markle showed she also ‘adopted strategic tricks’ to avoid unnecessary attention.

Meghan and Prince Harry postponed their royal honeymoon to attend a special party at Buckingham Palace to celebrate King Charles‘ 70th birthday in 2018. The garden party was a huge affair and all eyes were on the newlyweds. It came after reports of a royal feud within The Firm following the wedding of the couple.

As all eyes were on the former Hollywood star, she managed to keep eyes away, says one expert. The Duchess of Sussex wore a Goat Flavia nude shift dress with matching understated nude pantyhose and pumps. Along with her muted look, Meghan opted for a clutch and angled hat as her main accessories.

Experts loved how Meghan used her clutch as a small body barrier below her waist. But one expert revealed that there was more to the wardrobe staple.

Author and body language expert Judi James commented: “The clutch bag was a favorite of Kate Middleton’s and like Kate she carried it as a small body barrier just below her waist”.

She added: “That clutch bag positioning could be strategic. One annoying and embarrassing trait once you marry is that everyone starts asking when you’re going to have a baby and attention does start to focus on the tummy area.”

The duo had announced they were expecting their first child, Archie, months later. After tying the knot in spring of 2018, Harry and Meghan welcomed Archie the following year.
